Alappuzha is the attractive point of most tours to the popular backwaters of Kerala. It is a place where you can see the backwater heaven with an exceptional crisscrossing network of lagoons and canals that distribute across the middle of the town. The trip will start at 9:30 am from your respective hotel to take you to the local market in Alleppey or Alappuzha for a wonderful shopping experience. By 12 pm, you will be taking to enjoy house boating through the backwaters, or else you can choose the option of cruising a shikara boat through the backwaters. Shikara boats are smaller in size than houseboats with seats for 4 to 15 people and sometimes even up to 20 people. They are usually decorated with materials made up of bamboo and wood that offer an old-world rustic charm to the boat.
